The newly formed, Regional District of Mount Waddington (RDMW) led Vancouver Island North Training and Attraction Society (VINTAS) is comprised of North Island community leaders, businesses, business people, and volunteers working together to attract and retain residents in our communities. VINTAS also has a mandate of promoting health & safety, education, healthy lifestyle, communities, jobs, the environment, and Vancouver Island North life. VINTAS works closely with Vancouver Island North Tourism, a fellow organization that promotes tourism in the region.
VINTAS is currently building a significant website & social media attraction/community pride campaign for the North Island. The organization looks to work with communities, groups, businesses, artists and NGO’s for the promotion of opportunity and healthy living. This promotion will occur first on the myvancouverislandnorth.ca website, planned for launch April 16, 2018, and then through social media channels associated with myvancouverislandnorth.ca in the coming year.
VINTAS is also interested in education, on-the-job training, and all the work that happens that makes Vancouver Island North so interesting. If you have an idea for stories, or are actively involved in activities concerned with the health, enjoyment, work life, education or and prosperity of Vancouver Island North, we would love to hear from you. To share info, stories, or be profiled, contact the organization through the website or social media channels, or you can hashtag your social media posts with #myVIN. We hope to hear from you soon!
